Resumen

El trabajo de Kistler, “Constitution and Causation in Mechanisms”, plantea cuestiones importantes respecto al enfoque de los “experimentos internivel emparejados” de Craver, Glennan y Povich para determinar relaciones de dependencia no causal. ¿Se supone que esta teoría constituye una explicación de la práctica científica real o simplemente un grupo de condiciones de suficiencia conjunta para determinar relaciones de dependencia no causal? ¿Acaso el enfoque de la manipulabilidad para las relaciones de dependencia no causal ha pasado por alto una importante fuente científica de evidencia para las relaciones de dependencia no causal?
